Public commercial property sales

11 commercial properties and land parcels are scheduled for sale by the U.S. Treasury and Caltrans, read from their own listings on Oct 24, 2026. Below them: the FDIC's loan sales, recent bank failures, and what the FDIC got for the real estate it sold.

For sale now

U.S. Treasury, seized real property sales (Checked Oct 24, 2026; homes and residential lots left out) and Caltrans, excess land for sale (Checked Oct 24, 2026). Each card links to the seller's page for that sale, which has the terms, deposit and bidding rules.

These are the agencies' sales, not ours. Janover Capital doesn't list, sell or market property, isn't a real estate broker, and doesn't represent buyers or sellers. A card here isn't an offer to sell; the agency's page has the current status, terms and bidding rules, and a sale can be changed or withdrawn after we read it.

These sales run on fixed dates: the next one on this page is Oct 26, 2026, and the FDIC's CBT2-26 loan sale takes bids October 26 to December 2, 2026. The sooner you know about a listing, the more time you have to inspect it and line up financing. This alert fires when a listing we haven't seen before appears from the Treasury, Caltrans or the FDIC.

Alert emails haven't started on this site yet. We'll keep your alert, the first email will ask you to confirm it, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

FDIC loan sales

When a bank fails, the FDIC sells its loans in pools through loan sale advisors. Buying loans, including commercial real estate loans, is one way to reach distressed property before foreclosure. To bid you register with the advisor and, per the FDIC, must agree to a confidentiality agreement, have a net worth of at least $1 million, sign an OFAC certification and wire a $50,000 refundable security deposit as part of that registration.

What the FDIC sold its real estate for

The FDIC publishes its closed sales of real estate it took over from failed banks. These are its most recent commercial, bank-branch and hotel sales, going back to Dec 30, 2024: sold prices, not listings, and too few lately to read as a market index.

Federal property sold by GSA

The General Services Administration sells surplus federal buildings and land at realestatesales.gov, including commercial and industrial property. Its site asks automated tools not to read it, so we don't copy its listings here; check it directly.

What isn't here

Multifamily properties HUD sells after foreclosure, county tax-deed and sheriff's sales, and anything listed by private brokers. County sales vary by county and most counties don't publish a machine-readable list. How buying from the government or the FDIC works covers what to expect from each seller.

Download the data

Each file is built from the same reads of the agencies' own listings that this page shows, with the date each source was last checked on every row. A machine-readable list of the files, with column descriptions, is at /data/downloads/manifest.json.
